Calling All BAO Betches! Fitzrovia is now open
The hugely popular BAO has just opened a new branch in Fitzrovia. The restaurant was first opened in Netil Market in Hackney by siblings Shing Tat and Wai Ting Chung and Erchen Changhas and then moved to a larger residency in Soho.
The new restaurant will feature BAO classics with a few exclusive dishes that includes a ‘Fried Fish BAO’; a classic bao bun with lightly fried fish, green sauce, turia sauce & coriander.
BAO Fitzrovia have also tapped into the tapas trend by introducing sharing dishes such as ‘Squid noodles in trotter sauce’ and ‘Lamb with sour green chilli dip’. There will also be a greater selection of rice bowls on offer including ‘Wagyu chuck, truffle & beef tea’ and ‘Sweet potato with pork & egg congee’.
The restaurant has two floors with minimalistic interiors designed by Shing Tat Chung in collaboration with Katy Manolescue’s Article Studio.
Fitzrovia’s BAO offers a more comprehensive list of wine, sake and cocktails which will go down perfectly for those who hire out the basement room (fits up to 19 people).
I really can’t wait to bash them BAOS but be warned there will be cues!
