Keepintime ‘A Live Recording’
To cut a long story short Keepintime is the brainchild of film maker and writer B+. Fascinated with the drum break, he decided to film 4 early pioneers of the drum break, men who worked with the likes of David Axelrod and James Brown.
Enthused by the experience he organized a live jam, inviting a who’s who of beat junkie producers including Madlib, Nu Mark, Cut Chemist and DJ Shadow to rework the resulting recordings into the new material on this album.
With the producers involved all being of such a high calibre, i’m sure you don’t need to be told that this is a great album! Packaged with a DVD of live footage.
Released on the 29th of July 2005 via Ninja Tune records.
