Mark Powell collection ‘Junkyard Games’ at Hang-Up Gallery
The hub of creativity that is The Moniker Art Fair has been running for five consecutive years and beats at the very core of contemporary art in London’s bohemian East End.
This year, the spectacle will host Hang-Up Gallery which will include visionary artist Mark Powell after his successful sell-out show last year called ‘Drawing on History’. He’s world- renowned for his detailed Bic Biro drawings on vintage documents and this year’s collection ‘Junkyard Games’ will be bold and vibrant with an avant-garde collection of objects including coffee sacks, 1920’s apple boxes… You get the picture!
Mark describes his paintings as a reflection on the human condition, “a story of a newspaper or a headline…of what society might be”.
Moniker Art Fair 2014 will be held at the Old Truman Brewery, October 16th – 19th.
