Street Food Markets head to Islington Green

Heavy-hitting street food specialists The Epicureans are adding to their already impressive CV with the launch of a new night market on Saturday 3rd September in the bustling foodie hub of Islington Green. If you’ve been playing time-keeper, you’d have noticed that there’s been a surge in trendy new restaurants making the area their postcode, so this new foodie market is going to set tongues wagging and the competition hot.

The Islington Green Night Market will see Comfort Kitchen, Tico’s, Guasacaca, Chunky Buddha & Cheeky Burger serve up delicious fare every Saturday from 5pm- 9pm. Epicurean Events yield quite the star power when it comes to the street food scene having operated since 2010. While there’s no award system for recognising the market scene, Epicurean Events definitely deserve gold medals for nurturing London’s most exciting culinary talent and helping to bring some of the world’s most delicious fare to London’s streets.

It takes a lot to operate these gigs too: running a restaurant with nothing other than a gas bottle isn’t as easy as it sounds. But their passion and excitement has been central to their success and spark in London’s street food scene — lunch time market at St Katharine Docks and the Devonshire Square Market fine examples.

The team of foodies at Epicurean Events are enthusiastic about building strong relationships with stallholders to ensure Londoners are given a taste of authentic, modern and thrilling world street food cuisine. So we’ve no doubt the quality of the Islington Green Night Market will be just as blazingly amazing and our brain circuits jammed from too many delicious moments. We’re set to be redirected to other parts of the globe — without needing our passport.

And if that wasn’t an awesome enough reason to visit Islington Green Night Market, we see it as the perfect way to curb all issues surrounding the cuisine of preference for date night — and a refreshing alternative to neighbouring Dalston and Shoreditch.

The Night Market will be on Islington Green every Saturday from September 3. For more from the people behind the market, follow @EpicureanEvent

About the Author

Admittedly a coffee addict, this London-residing Aussie lady loves to write about anything (well, perhaps not medical science, but you could give her a shot at it…). As well as an eye for typos, she’s a fiend for good food, good friends and a (large) glass of red wine. From gallivanting across the globe, to discovering hidden secrets in London, Aimee is just as at home navigating the airport as she is with a game of scrabble and some 90s pop music.
